Mariana Kouloumian
Associate Attorney
Mariana Kouloumian graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a B.A. in English Literature. She earned her law degree from Southwestern Law School. During her time at Southwestern, Mariana became interested in the area of family law and had the distinct honor of working for the Honorable Amy J. Pellman in family court. During her time in family court, she was privileged to work on and witness several proceedings regarding divorce, child support, and custody issues.
Mariana was also given the opportunity to work in Chicago, Illinois, and an extern for judges in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Domestic Relations Division. Working with a division of judges that heard both pre-decree and post-decree cases allowed Mariana to fully understand the process, prior to the finalization of the divorce and after the entry of judgment. Serving as a judicial extern in a different state strengthened her legal research and writing skills, as well as her adaptability to new experiences and challenges.
Further more, Mariana was also involved with the Public Service Program at Southwestern and volunteered her time and commitment to providing legal assistance to the Los Angeles community. Her dedication to this program was recognized at commencement and she received the Public Service Program distinction on her academic record. In May 2020, Mariana passed the bar on her first try.
